Telomateo is here!

welcome to the blog, Telomateo! I hope we will create something interesting here, your works could really help!

by the way, I thought about whether we could first just have a little bit of a brain storm, and then think about some projects, concerning for example collage comics or other forms. perhaps this way it would lead somewhere, towards individual albums, exhibitions, anthologies as well as theoretical texts.

Spectre Bang

Möbius strip

we've talked with Bungy some time ago about infinite strips. so these can be strips in a circle form, or gif's consisting of series of pictures without a "central" or "last" one. the Möbius strip is just an example of infinite comics, we certainly find different meanings of the term (comics that can be read again and again, understanding the world as a comic strip, comics that were not finished yet and many other ones).

Klonk klonk

Thank You for the Invite to the Blog. My Comics are often Collages. Here's one. (Maybe this is a Poemicstrip too?)

I also try to use recyclable materials as much as possible. In Valentine's day I asked my Friends to eat candys, because I wanted the beautiful red paper on which they were wrapped

new contributor!

we have a new contributor, it's feuchtenbergerowa! it's so great to have you here. I hope there will be some movement on the blog, and that we will exchange ideas and develop the idea of experimental comics - whatever it means. welcome!

famagusta

these strips tell a story of my trip to Famagusta. during the one-day trip from southern to northern Cyprus I've made over 700 photos. I use parts of these photos in this project, presented at http://famagusta.comicgenesis.com. updated monthly.

4 and 3

a square (more or less) and a triangle talk and have fun. the holes can be seen from both sides of a page, except the characters change sides then :). well, we could find more things here, like shadows, or seeing through a comics.

all the copies that were distributed to the readers were sold, no free ones (except for the library). one guy from the TV even wrote to me that if I send him a copy he will talk about the project during his program. I said "sorry, I've promissed not to give this away for free". otherwise people who bought four and three (cztery i trzy) would be dissapointed.

and yes - this is a comics about emptyness.

Unfolding

I am not exactly sure what I am "experimenting" with here.  Surrealism is such a common aspect of cartoons that I am not sure it qualifies as experimental.  I've severed a consistent relationship of "foreground" subject with "background" -- or, more accurately, I'm playing with a different sort of relationship.  I guess the question I am asking myself in this piece is how much of my work with more traditional cartooning and comics can be applied in experimental comics.

microcomics - the ant

this is a comics "mrówka" (the ant). well, it's not meant for the ants to be its readers, but an ant is an important character of the story :). I've sent the microcomics as a gadget to some people, together with a "bigger" comics. one guy even kneed down after seeing it (well, he searched for it on the floor, but anyway).

some time ago, when I worked with a microscope, I observed some patterns in magnified images of leaves and onions that really could be seen as comics. I don't mean just to copy those patterns, but to realize, that can read microscopic comics.

I would like to publish here both older and new works. I've made some comic strips with empty frames, there is more of these here:

there were four copies of the album, I've left two of these in a library, sent one to another library, and kept one for myself :)
