I've been thinking a lot about layering and superimposition lately. This piece is composed of five layers: a page from an old crime comic, some colorful abstract cartoons I drew, a photograph of myself pulling open my left eye, a distressed piece of old blank paper, and an extreme contrast photo of safety pins, wrenches, and screws.

ReplyDeletewow, this is so good! and the explanation makes it a masterpiece of insipration! it's so wonderfull to see this work. and the ideas inside the five layers are really moving the reader (at least me).
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it's a good idea, but perhaps in some time we should all think about really creating an anthology of collage comics. I mean I'm only an amateur in the field of publishing, but someone should do it!
